Just 9 miles away from me in Union City, IN is a hardwood saw mill that cuts, kiln dries, planes, and now, I found out sells to individuals from their show room which is attached to their office workers building. It is all located on a country side road. The show room is full of lumber in various lengths and width and lengths and all planed to 1" thickess. All is clear with not one knot or blemish. They have cherry, popular, maple, walnut, ash, basswood and more. I felt like I was in heaven. They sell any of it for .50 cents a pound. I bought a piece of ash 1"x3"x5' for $1.86. The receptionist got up from her computer, and weight it up for me. What a find.
