Congratulations Ross! Once you've tried it, you'll never go back.

Hey Spidey, I was having problems with my shear strips pulling away from the forms so in several locations I glued on block with a hole in it and sucked the wood down with a bungie chord. Notice that I did this close to the forms so it wouldn't bow the strips between the forms. When I was done with the blocks I just cut them off and sanded it down to the wood of the kayak.
