Try using a heat gun / hair dryer. I finished mine using 2 mm x 8 mm black walnut strips and made it around ~ 5" radius. Don

: I can't seem to wrap the 1/8" x 3/4" strips around and keep the
: distance above the deck even (I'm tyring to make the lamination 1 strip at
: a time). Do I need to notch the strips to make them go where I want? Any
: suggestions?

: I'm using white oak.
