You could either fillet around the edges of the mounting blocks to provide a smooth transition for the cloth, or bevel the edges of the block on a table saw at a 45 degree angle to allow the 'glass to lay out smooth. I think that tying the blocks to the hull with some cloth has got to provide some "useful" strength to the assembly. Dennis
