: my wife is an independent type too...but the kids and the dog...Hey here goes
: a double.

Eric & Ross,

A few more pics are on my web site and more will appear! Find me on the Kayak Builders Web Ring!

The fact is I am working on a heavily cushioned removeable seat($30)which has a fold down back with a button on the end of a strap to hold it down. The seat needs to be removable to allow for the alternate low kayaking seat and (of course) an add in carpet for the dogs. The dogs have their PFDs but are still being trained to take the swaying and the water. No bulkheads are planned but I am working on building foot rests and a rudder (from the design in the book) but not one company carries 1/4 inch marine plywood.

I do want to give special thanks to a post early in the actual building process that resulted in a loan (just postage cost) of the cove and bead bits I used. I just need to ask whether the lender wants to be identified as he may receive many e-mails.

Any alternatives to marine plywood?

Thanks, Steve in San Diego

ps: Some day I will write Nick with a few suggestions for his book but for now I need to fit it out and consider making a couple paddles.
