After spending a weekend with the CLC guys at Okoumestock, it's pretty clear that the new management wants no part of the old "pissing contest". Both John and Lee had very complimentary things to say about several of their competitor's designs,including Pygmy's. It seems to me that these guys just really like boats and they don't care who designs or sells them; to them a good boat is a good boat.

From a business standpoint, it makes much more sense for companies in a small industry to cooperate in order to grow the business for everyone. Personality conflicts and the ensuing "holy wars" hurt everyone. The staff at CLC seems very focussed on their business and their customers. I doubt they have the time or the energy for petty spats. I don't know the people at Pygmy, but I suspect that their situation is similar.

BTW, does anyone from Pygmy ever post here? If not, perhaps they should be encouraged to do so.
