I still don't have my fiberglass seat completed (the Guillemot 18 has overtaken my life, just ask my wife!). Anyway, I sat in a box of sand, plastered the "butt-print", glassed the plaster cast, and now I'm using that glass to make a negative mold to lay up a positive mold inside.

As far as seat design: you want to spread the pressure from your weight all over your butt. The front of the seat should be lifted slightly to provide under-thigh pressure, but the front edge of the seat should be well-rounded so it doesn't cut off circulation in your thighs. Make sure your hip pads aren't too tight--they can cut off circulation, and too-tight hip pads will also deny you "wiggle room" for you to shift slightly to keep the circulation going.
