Hey Bill, This doesn't cover how much to mix at a time (others have covered that); rather, how much to mix for the job:

A note from the "Do as I say, not as I do file":

Use as little epoxy as possible for your fillets. I have a 57-lb. Chesapeake 17. I figure 2 or 3 of those extra pounds are in my fillets. I made fillets nearly 2" wide. I think a 3/4" wide fillet would be sufficient to bridge the gap for your tape to lay over, and it would be more than strong enough to hold the boat together!!

Hindsight is 20/20. Please, make a lighter boat than Shawn did!
