: Hey maybe you can make some masonite fairing compound by throwing masonite
: bits in a bucket of water, wait until mush, pour out water and pour in
: some white glue, fair the jt.

Just realized that if yer using the stitch and glue process for a female form that there are some quick licks for putting it together.

Like instead of (or in addition to) using wire, glue 5in long stubs along each edge, alternating from side to side. So say every 6in you have a 5 in long bit of wood(say 3/4 x 1/4!!!! (so it's also a stripper)) glued on the outside of the masonite with 2 1/2 in free and 2 1/2 in glued. On the adjacent panel, the same thing, but offset by 3/4in so the stubs don't interfere. Then the two panels will sorta self align and 'tooth' when going together, then you can quickly c-clamp adjacent stubs to hold things while the stitching is going on. Now, if you use huge stubs, you may find it becomes quite rigid as ea one in effect becomes a miniform.

Or instead of using clamps, for the quick setup, just wind string back and forth betw the backs of the stubs and just lace the sucker together. then stitch.

You want to keep the wires attached all the time . Does this interfere w/ the fillet??. If it does, drill a second set of holes for the stitching 1/2in from the 1st and wire from the back to front then thru that adjacent hole to the back again and then all the twisting and raised wiring is at the back. But I don't know if this will be necessary. Stitchers will know.
