Yep, you're right. We thought of that. We think that the inner coaming can be cut to match the new panel cuts and the resulting gaps filled. Then we'll sand the 'inner coaming' and filler at the joint to get a nice radius that the 'outer coaming' will bend over. We'll also have to cut the hatch lips in a similar way. The shape of the boat is mostly changed near the cockpit, so we don't expect to have much trouble with the bulkheads in the hatch kit, but if we do, it will only require a bit of filler between the bulkhead and deck.

There was _plenty_ of extra wire to stitch with. Though we may be a little short on fiberglass tape when it comes time to tape the inside of the sheer. Between cloth and tape scraps and a bit of borrowing from our other kit (the Coho), I think that we'll be ok...

We'll keep posting pictures and stuff to let you know how it goes.
