Cockpit Coaming?

It didn't occur to me until I saw your images, but I have a question about what you've done. The Pygmy cockpit coaming, as supplied, is designed to be installed on two flat deck surfaces meeting at an angle at the peak. You have changed that shape, so I'd expect you need to modify at least the spacer (Pygmy calls it the inner coaming). Does it look like all you need to do is cut that piece at the new panel seams or is it going to get complicated?
