Pygmy Deck Modifications Done! (picture)

Well, I'd like to thank everyone who responded with suggestions about making the deck modifications to our Pygmy Osprey. I must admit that I was on the negative side; however, Louise insisted and we did it this weekend. We ended up cutting the central pair of deck panels into four panels (two cuts) both fore and aft of the cockpit. We then stitched the deck and put it over the frames. As a few people noted earlier, the new cuts made no difference in the shape or sagged inward. Since we were expecting this, we used push-sticks to push the seams into the proper shape. After the epoxy cured, and the sticks were removed, it kept its shape and looks great! Louise could have said "I told you so" but she was kind to my fragile ego. :-) Check out our web page for more pictures...

Thanks for all of the suggestions!

Later,

Tim.
