Yeah, I did use walnut on the Wee Lassie II, but there's only a small area where I actually covered it with glass. When I glassed the deck, I wrapped the glass halfway over the outwales, so there's less than an inch-wide strip of walnut that has glass over it, but I've had no problem with it. I wouldn't expect walnut to have adhesion problems. It's not an oily wood, and I found that it can really draw in the epoxy (compared to ash, for instance). I'm fairly certain the glass on the WLII is well anchored.
