Thanks! I'll take some on my next kayak outing . . . My favotite baked potato is prepared by washing the potatoes, placing them "as-is" (no covering) in a "as-hot-as-you-can-make-it" oven (or over coals), probably 500F, and leaving them alone for 1-1/2 hours. The skins are so crackly-crunchy and the inside so tender & moist that, well, . . . They're good enough to eat!

I agree with you - There is middle ground and I have no complaints about occasional idle chatter. I have struck up some nice friendships in the short while I've been here, and the friendships aren't only because we like to build kayaks and do woodworking.

This is a very polite and friendly board - The only comparison I've seen are the "shooting" boards. In that case, as they say, "An armed society is a polite society."
