Good news.

Last night the decision was made for the Merganser. I think I got the name right this time. Sorry Eric.

She is now making the 16.5 ft length or 17 ft length decision. She paddled a 17.5 ft long, 22" wide Current Designs last summer a few days and thought that the length was fine. Don't really know which way she'll go. I would rather the 17 so I can fit better in it, but actually I'm pushing her for the 16 so it performs better for her.

whatever she wants, I'll build with a few suggestions and comments from all you of course.

Also, does anybody know who stocks the dark colored okuome (meranti or something like that) for mailorder in 3 mm and 4 mm. I could only find 6 mm on the Noahs website?
