I've been up to port townsend and paddled the boats that your deciding on. I don't know how skilled of a paddler you are but the ospry hp is a straight tracking machine. the coho is almost as fast and does handle big water much better. I built 2 ospry standards for my wife and I last year. we spent the last summer paddling just about every body of water we could get to up in Alaska. the standard is the queen of flat ot semi rough water but if you are going to do any serious ocean touring I would suggest the coho with a rudder assembly. the standards only take about 70 hours but the hp and the coho take twice that much time. GOOD LUCK
