Coho or Osprey? I can't answer that (I built an Arctic Tern), but I can tell you that you will spend many more hours putting your kayak together. As most of us can testify, you will be piecing together a functional piece of art and your will to make it as beautiful as can be is impossible to resist. Factor in two to three times what the manufacturer says. Their quote on time is to completion, a.k.a. witer tight and ready to paddle. Think of all the other things you can do to make your kayak unique, personal, more comforable and efficient. Just take a look at the archived posting of this BB and you'll see that you could spend endless hours on deck staining, hatch shapes, seat designs, rudder/skeg configurations, etc. Don't worry about how much time it's going to take. Your new 'yak will be done before you know it and then you'll just want to start on that stripper that will blow everyone's socks off! Good Luck!
