Paul, I enjoy reading your posts, but I too must chime in on the caution side on this one....I have a friend who runs one of the larger tool supply houses....and the stories he tells of unmodified off-the-shelf router bits disintigrating in normal use would make me very uneasy ever trying to modify one of these bits.....my preference with such tools is to err on the side of buying better than you think you might need....and appreciate it every time you use it.
