Dwight,

I've heard that nylon or polyester coated with neoprene and hypalon is the best route. I'm planning on polyester coated with Elast-o-Seal and Snow-Roof for my next skin kayak. I'm happy with these two products, but a little disappointed with the canvas. After these paints dry completely the seem to be very durable.
