sure, build a Mill Creek 15, add an extra layer of glass on the bottom, make a comfortable seat to fit you that allows you to have thigh braces under the deck. and also allow you to shift your weight fore/aft. It is like a partially decked canoe that you can paddle with a kayak paddle. I built a Mill Creek 13 and think it is an excellent recreational kayak for waters where there is less of a concern with waves coming over the coaming, although people have traveled in dificult seas with similarly proportioned Folbots. My gross generalization is that most folks that buy "sea kayaks" would be better off served with sit-on tops like Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro, or the Necky sit-ons.
