Taping Sheerline

I will be joining the deck to the hull tonight in and I'm not sure if i should run some duct tape along the length of the sheerline on the outside before I wrap the boat up. For clamping pressure I have a roll of 2 inch clear pallet wrap Called "FLAT TWINE" purchased at Lee Valley Tools to clamp it all together. It seems the last time I used Duct tape with an epoxy application the next day it had come loose. Maybee things were too dusty or something but I was wondering if maybee the "West System" and the duct tape didn't get along. I'm using the advise I recieved here on the BB Board were the seam tape on the inside is hot glued into position to the under side of the deck before assembly. I have rigged up a pretty cool syringe dispensor on the end of a pole that has a squash ball epoxied onto the end of the syringe with a 1/4" hole out the side of it were the epoxie can be pumped out as required (pumping activated with pull string) this squah ball works quite well as a kind of round squeege when I was testing it out the other day. If it works I will post a picture and what have you. Wish me luck. Thanks in advance on the duct tape answer.
