Who said my paddles were not the best? Money, quality does not necessarily make. I have seen some pretty ratty canoes that cost a lot more than mine did. i have also seen some pretty ratty kayaks that cost $800 to build. Ours looks a whole lot better and cost $250.

Another point: I do invest my time, just not so much of my pocketbook.

You could use your hands too. My point was not to rip on people who want to spend as much as they can on a paddle. You do not need to justify the reason you spent so much to me. I was just trying to balance things a little to a new paddle builder who seemed to be getting all kinds of responses leading him to believe building a paddle was going to be expensive when it does not have to be.

Money does not make a craftsman, talent does.
