Thanks for all the advice - Both on this thread and all the others before. You folks have really contibuted to the building of this boat and there is a little bit of your advice mixed in it throughout.

I'll keep plugging away at outfitting and if it is ready to paddle New Years (minus the varnish) and the weather isn't too bad, then I'll go get the boat wet. Great way to start off the year. I've been looking for an excuse not to varnish in the house and wait for warmer weather so I can do it outside, but with winter apon us I may get bored from being inside all the time and varnish it next month anyway.

Thanks again for all the advice - here and in the email you folks sent me. If it wasn't for your advice, instead of a boat, I would have a very expensive pile of kindling this winter. Happy Holidays to all!
