I know that this is what the manual says; but my understanding is that the varnish provides UV protection for the epoxy. I've seen pics on someones site of unvarnished epoxy fading in the sun. Is this a likely occurence if the boat is used much in that month? I'd be concerned about the deck fading and not matching the bottom of the hull.

Is this the case in practice?
