OK I have to admit I still plan on getting in 4 or 5 paddles before year end but for those of us in the northern latitudes it is pretty much time to stop paddling and start building. I have a little repair to do on some boats and then I need to decide between the top 3 or 4 building projects on my list. I encourage everyone to get started now so you have a new boat in spring, nothing worse than still building and missing the spring paddling, happens to me all the time. And somewhere in the process don't forget to still get outside. I love to build kayaks, but I build kayaks to paddle them. I paddle kayaks to get outdoors. I get outdoors because next to my family it is the most meaningful way I spend time in my life. So that is why I rolled out of bed at 5 on Saturday morning to take this walk. The seasons are changing
