well....

after hearing from nick....i decided stop the baking....and finish the boat.....and well....i get to do the repair.

the heat of 'baking' the boat made all the soft spots bubble/delaminate .....in an almost exact pattern that i had mapped out with the blue dots.

it was kind of a shock when i pulled it out of the bag.....but the silver lining wass no delamination in any other than the marked spaces.

i have now cut the delam off....did a bit of sanding (took the picture below before i cleaned up the dust) and staining and will reglass tonight and get back on track.

it will have some little cosmentic squiggles i suppose if one looks hard.....but i can refinish/reglass her three or four years from now....it's time to get paddling.

at least i don't have to worry about the soft epoxy anymore!
