Unless you plan on using the stations again to build another kayak, you not have cut the stations around the cockpit area, until you complete stripping the deck, and you are ready to cut out the cockpit recess/cockpit. Since I have usually modified the cockpit, due to bad knees, I draw out the recess lines, this will tell me which stations to cut down/trim or whatever. I do not save the stations once the kayak is complete. Trim the stations down so I can strip out the cockpit recess.
