I'm at he point where I have stripped and faired the hull (cedar), done the shear line plus 3 strips of the deck (with mahogany), and am about to break the forms out, put the hull aside, place the deck back on the forms and begin to lay out two long criss crossing swaths with a contrasting light and dark wood (basswood and walnut). After that I was going to fiberglass the outside of the hull, scrape and sand the inside of the hull and then do the same for the deck.

There are lots of different ways to build a strip kayak succesfully.
Personally, I've never been brave enough to take out the molds or handle the hull unless it was glassed on the outside.
And, once the molds are out of the hull I would glass the hull inside right away.

I don't understand about the 3 deck strips- are you going to join the hull and deck at the sheer line, or at a line 3 strips into the deck?
