Hi All, I have built 2 strippers with a internal strongback and heard that an external strongback is superior to the internal.

You will hear a lot of things stated as fact that are simply an opinion. :)

Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages.

Someone posted images some time back of an external strngback made of two flat planks connected at the ends but bowed out on the middle. The claim is that it is very light, but very stiff. Maybe someone can find that photo.
