Thanks for the advice, everyone. That is interesting that modifying the panels as suggested by Kyle results in a faster, more stable boat. Did this modification do anything to the overall beam of the boat? The more I think about it, the more I think the Sport Tandem is the right kayak for me. I normally paddle a very tippy baidarka, and my wife and I really get a kick out of covering a lot of miles. As long as the boat can store the same amount of gear one would carry on a typical backpacking trip, that is plenty of storage space for us. I don't suppose anyone has pictures of a CLC sport tandem build? Also, if anyone has experience equipping this boat with the CLC sail rig I'd be interested to know how that works out. Thanks!
