S&G: What would be lighter?

So, What is the better choice?
I want light weight but reasonable durability.
3 mm ply with 6 oz cloth on outside, 3 oz cloth inside.
or
4 mm ply with 3 oz inside, 3 oz inside.
Yes, I am considering just glassing the inside of the cockpit, not the rest of the inside.
Any better suggestions?
