Strip: Curved bulkheads

Earlier posts about foam bulkheads made me wonder if there would be an advantage to curving the bulkhead to give it a little ability to bend or deflect when there is a large load or impact. If the curve is in both the horizontal and vertical direction and the edges are all in the same plane (as if the bulkhead was a regular flat shape) would there be a benifit? Because the bulkhead is joined to the hull and deck all the way around would it deflect? Would you need to make it thicker?

If someone was making a stripped bulkhead it would not be hard to glue them up while bending them over a form or two.

Is it totally crazy? Or has it been tried?
