Since you are finishing the hull, never forget to keep some forms strapped in the hull once you remove it.

These horror stories you read about prying decks and hulls to get them to mate are not the norm. Normally the deck fits the hull with some minor tweeks here and there. (all hulls and decks distort a bit). Actually once you glass the hull or deck, you have to trim the glass hanging over the edge and clean up the edge from epoxy drips. Generally you can maintain the wood edge fairly close. A slight taper to the inside will insure a better fit.

If you fasten glass tape inside like I suggest, wetting out the seam tape is actually minutes. It takes more time mixing epoxy and cleaning up than doing it. Taping (fastening) the deck to the hull is about a half hour / 45 minutes. Seriously! Two people actually makes it a lot easier and start from the middle. One person can press it together while the other one tapes. Secure the ends and then work from side to side from the middle. A shear clamp is way more work.

The most important is to KEEP FORMS IN THE HULL while it is off the stations. If forms are in the hull (just a few - 4) it can't close up.
