Hi Howie,
You can put the shear clamp on when the forms are out of the hull,easy.Preparation of the "clam closing" event is the key and will take a bit of time.I do this instead of the "dreaded" inside seam taping.I also drape the deck glass over the outside of the shear split line by an inch or two.
