Oxalic acid should deal with the mold and converts most metals like iron to a soluble form. Some bleaching of the wood is inevitable. Cedar darkens with age and it may lose that patina. Vinegar neutralises it, or lots of rinse water. Be careful - it's strong stuff . . . sanding is safer for shallow stains.
