I use the same coating on mine and on the factory boat have tried to wear it off, no luck doing that, it's pretty tough. It does indeed show small scratches, but seems to resist major ones.

Epoxy, graphite and a little silica which makes it harder. Don't want microballons, would be too damage prone.
