One change I made from the 'source kayaks' was to lower the back of the coaming a bit more (it does make laybacks easier).

I also made an imitation of the glass seat in the original- I like it a lot-comfy and allows good rotation, and I don't need a backband. It makes sliding into the boat (launches, scramble re-entries) a lot easier if I'm not sitting on the #$%$#% backband!
