Hi Tim and all,
I have a tow ball post with a rotating cradle on the top.I can put a 45 kg double on the car single handed.
No need for those stressed out straps when used in conjunction with just one cradle on the front roof bar.
Max off road and on road speed can be attained with no worries.I am supprised no one is doing this.I have done thousands of km with great big yaks on a small car.The arrangement is loaded in less than two minutes tied down and all, by just me.If you need an image ,maybe Troy could post it...[thanks Troy].
Cockpit covers will save you fuel.
