We all screw up from time to time.....

Now for my confession... Last Saturday afternoon, I put the first epoxy fill coat on the outside hull/deck seam tape on the Spring Run I'm building. I'm working from a 1 gal jug of MAS resin and a 1 gal jug of MAS hardner. I noticed that my resin jug was just about empty and I happened to have a qt of resin on my workbench. So that I wouldn't pump air for the next fill coat, I opened up the qt resin and poured it in the gal jug of resin. When about 3/4 of the qt container had poured into my gal jug of resin, I noticed that the color of the label on the qt container was different than the color on the gal jug.

Yep, I poured a qt of hardner into my gal jug of resin. Now, I know better but being in a hurry, I cost myself at least $50 in epoxy and lost a week while I wait for new resin and hardner to arrive.... I really felt like the "idjit" I poured the mess into a large plastic bowl and let it harden. It will sit prominently on my workbench as a reminder.....
