: About to build my first S&G, it's a Pygmy Osprey Std. I'm
: curious as to what type/style of work table would be the best
: for this. I built my last strip using the stands that Nick uses
: in his book. I'm thinking of doing a 16 x 4 surface made of
: 2x4's and plywood set on top of saw horses. Any input would be
: appreciated.

: Thanks

My table top is a open framework 32" x 12'. I covered it with 1" thick foam insulation, cheapest I could find. It is great for sawing out ply parts like frames and molds, as I can just use a circular panel saw and cut into the foam; I don't care about the table top and it doesn't hurt the blade. When it comes time to assemble the boat parts, the table ctop an be turned upside down for mounting the building molds. It rests on a pair of el-cheapo saw horses.
