This method is exactly the way that I have been doing it for 10 years and is fully described in the building manual with my plan sets. It takes a little longer in days since you have to make it, take it off, clean it, glue it back on then glass it, but by using the boat as a mold and making two halves, you can make any shape cockpit you wish and it works out. No other molds to make or glue up mess.
