I've shined light through the hull trying to find the ribs you are talking about, but nothing seems to stand out to me. Could you please indicate where on the picture you are talking about? There is a shadow being cast on the kayak from my blinds and the oilcanning is in the middle of one of them. Could that be what you mean?

I have a couple of questions in regards to the above but want to make sure we are talking about the same area before asking them.

With this light layup I try to avoid impacts anyway and with the other positives of solid bulkheads I will definitely consider them once I resolve the current oilcanning issue.

Thanks for all the tips and time! I was hoping to get start biying the materials this month, but my cars engine just blew up so I have to deal with that first. I will definitely send pictures along though when I finish.
