Hello Paul, I'm about to glass over some accents of cocobolo rosewood that is very oily, and was going to use this same method, but never considered the banishing black cats part. :) I need to try that. Actually all kidding aside, there has recently been a bloom of ferrel cats around my place and I a worried about waking up to find pawprints in my epoxy!

When wiping down with acetone I go back over with alcohol. Acetone can turn epoxy white. I like to make sure it's all gone. I'm also told to let alcohol dry a good while before glassing for the same reason. I think I will wait an hour before glassing.
