Long time lurker here, finally making my first post. I've been studying this wonderful site for about a year, thank you all for the wealth of information here. At long last, I'm about to begin stripping the deck of my Cirrus Hybrid.

I've got a nice big pile of WRC strips all ready to go and had planned on using a really nice plank of Redwood to mill strips for some contrast. The other day while re-reading Nick's second book for the umpteenth time, I noticed a passage where he explained that he had trouble with Redwood delaminating over the long haul. I'm sure I'd read that before but I guess it didn't sink in until I was ready to mill Redwood strips. So, anyone care to share their experiences with this wood? I found a few posts in the archives but not enough to persuade me one way or the other. As mentioned, I'm only planning on using Redwood for some contrast. I'm in Southern California and don't want to make my deck too dark, I'm thinking the odd stripe or two and perhaps a small amount around the cockpit. All your wisdom and experience greatly appreciated.
