There is a trick to getting that plastic in place with the fewest trapped bubbles. Bend it into a "U" shape and insert the middle of the bent piece first. Slowly let it unbend. As it does it will push a lot of the bubbles away towards the ends of the material. If you find that you are starting to trap some air, gently re apply pressure to both ends of the plastic and you'll pull it up a little so that you can poke out those nasty bubbles with a straight pin.
