Do a test on Windsor and Newton selected list watercolour paints They are very light fast. Some artists acrylics are very tough, water based, and should be bleed resistant. Watered down one can get very bright colours. They are also water resistant when dry and should be light fast. Much cheaper than quality watercolour paints which are $$$$ expensive.

These are just suggestions, I havn't tried them myself.
