: It's a sliding seat rowing wherry, of my own design. I built it using methods
: I extrapolated from building many of Tom Yost's kayak designs. It's
: 18'x33" and weighs about 45 lbs. Skinned with 9oz polyester and
: coated with ZAR polyurethane. Build time was about 11 days, at a cost of
: about $165 in materials.

: In the pics, the sliding seat has yet to be installed. It rows just great
: from the stationary thwart, though - I laughed with every pull for the
: first five minutes!
: The oarlock spreaders are removable, for transport. The sliding seat frame
: will also be removable.
