it's done.
15x20mm jelatong with a large radius planed on the inside. I shaped the pieces a bit with a heatgun so as not to pull the sides out of wack and for the upturned bow. All in all it took me a couple of hours and a few beers without the need for playing around with tape/epoxy in confined areas.
