: You looking for ready made? or are you willing to do some building?

: Redtrailers.com sells a kayak rack and tongue extension that can be mounted
: on their folding utility trailers.

: Trailex.com offers a few aluminum multi-boat trailers and single boat
: trailers, but they cost a little more.

: I have no experience with either manufacturer, just found the web pages
: earlier this year while researching light trailers.

: I recently bought a 4x8 utility trailer from Tractor supply, replaced the 5'
: tongue with a 9' tube and mounted bunks on it to carry a 16'
: pulling/fishing boat.

: The link below is a discussion of home built and built-from boat trailers
: from the Woodenboat.com forum. It's good general info (and opinions) on
: the subject.

Thanks for the info! I read the reference discussion and if I'm left w/ anything it is that there is a wide range of opinion w/ the exception of a consensus to stay away from harbor freight trailers!
