Hi,
I'm planning on using some mortise and tenon joints for a canoe I'm building, and would like to get a plunge router. I've had a Ryobi fixed base router but for a few years I've wanted a plunge. I'm obviously a hobbiest and I can say that I've been happy with tools from Ryobi (router, sawzall, cordless drill), Black&Decker (belt sander) and Rigid (ROS). The plunge router would also come in handing for making various bits and pieces for my kayak.
I'm now considering two different plunge routers:
Black&Decker 10amp, $79
Craftsman 9.5amp, $129
I suspect the Craftsman is better, but I'm not sure it would be 70% better. Both routers get good reviews from users.
Any thoughts on which tool is the better buy?
